Quite interesting result from a M.Sc. student in engineering. His work consisted in the creation of a sleep telemetry device "from scratch". Compared to the 2 eurocents piece, his device was quite small (but still difficult to embed into a small rodent). However I saw and tested commercial prototypes that were bigger although less reliable and precise than this one!
