HSPA speed test

While the upload speed is a bit painful, the new Telus/Bell HSPA network strikes me as awfully fast for mobile download speeds. Tethering is going to be great. These are all things I never thought I'd say about mobile in Canada.

Rogers in comparison, courtesy of @bjfresh.
Hell, Dave, that’s nearly as fast as our home connection here in Australia…
Here’s the same thing in Chilliwack on Rogers.
Here’s my Telus vs Rogers speedtest results from my couch in Port Coquitlam….although the Telus test was via an Android device (which has no native screenshot app) so it’s not a direct comparison.
The results on Telus have really surprised me so far but I wonder if it is simply a much more underutilized network.
Over on Fido in Toronto download speeds are slower but upload speeds are much higher.
Couple more sucktastic Rogers speeds for comparison. Test 1, 2, and 3. (Note the pings) Scientifically tested from my apartment in Kitsilano.
Wow, could be the beginnings of a nice class action suit!
